IMPORT, as the name suggests, is a command line driven tool for importing data into your MultiValue database from a delimited file.

IMPORT can update multiple files in a single command, and offers a range of simple validations to assure the data being imported and options for updating including simple replacement, value appending or inserting, and accumulation. If you have used a update or transaction tool in SB+ you'll get the gist.

IMPORT allows you to specify database columns by dictionary item name and field position, and values can be combinations of columns, literal values, I-Descriptor expressions, special variables and arithmetic operators.

Supplied as a free stand-alone program IMPORT is another useful addition to any toolbox.
